Priorities:

The aim of this project is to help students to further their achievements by creating lesson plans which will be more creative through art and its aspects. The project will provide opportunities for educators and students to experience innovative practices within the fields of various art forms in a number of partner schools and to observe and share good practices. The use of ICT in learning, teaching and training of both teachers and students, will be a tool that together with the various art forms, are going beyond the barriers of language teaching between the participants. This will help to develop skills, abilities and improve confidence within themselves, necessary for the modern international school.

Description of the Project:

We are five countries in this project and we will gain a great experience about other European countries. During the project, we will have a lot of mobilities involving students and educational staff and of course it will allow the pupils to become aware of the differences and similarities between cultures. During the project:

  • children will have an improvement on their language skills
  • children will have a chance to make friends in all partner schools
  • children will gain experience in expressing feelings, involving in groups and being active through children activities
  • children will involved in activities that will raise their social competences and communication skills
  • children will increase their social competence and emotional maturity
  • children will be more respectful to the people not just locally but internationally
  • children will have a greater motivation and satisfaction in learning at school
  • teachers will enhance their experience in teaching-learning process
  • teachers will experience learning within practical activities
  • teachers will have greater and more opportunities for personal development
  • teachers will benefit from professional development through project meetings
  • teachers will develop the awareness of working with other European school

The objectives of our project are quite simple: to make the learning process interesting, motivating, amusing and efficient. Pupils sometimes complain that they are bored at school, activities implemented in the school curriculum are repeated over and over again thus pupils’ attention spans have declined. There are rare moments in the frontal teaching and learning process that have come as an enjoyable surprise for pupils as a lot of work has become quite theoretical and this knowledge is not always transformed into a skill. Our project would like to offer an exciting and attractive possibility to learn something new with the help of innovative methods using current available IT technology.

Moreover the project would like to allow the students to further use their emotions, rhetorical skills, technical skills and theoretical knowledge in order to show their talents and strengthen their character features.

The target groups of pupils are elementary or secondary school pupils who are from 11 - 17 years old. The scope of age is ideal for the introduction of innovative methods, the pupils have mastered the basic skills like reading and writing and gained background knowledge in various subjects and they still don´t have to be focussed on a specific branch of their future carrier - so they can play. Implementing of innovative methods will be carried out in foreign language subjects like French, Spanish and English etc.

Firstly, if the language is spoken only in a country with a different mother tongue, the impact of the language is not so efficient compared to the situation when the language is practised in its natural environment without the possibility of any usage the mother tongue to help if required - that is the reason why we would like to travel abroad to partner schools.

Secondly, the mobilities should be carried out in order to share the experience of the innovative methods that turn out to be successful.
